Why ASF: The Perfect Storm

Since the early 19th century, a fundamental shift in thinking about Scripture has taken place in American Christianity. A "perfect storm" of events in both the secular and religious realms caused Christian academia and the church to largely abandon a supernaturalistic view of the Bible (the primacy of divine authorship) and embrace a naturalistic view (the primacy of human authorship). The results have been disastrous.
